We would like to welcome Lance Weihmuller of Bell – Textron to the Board of Trustees. Lance is a Senior Manager at Bell. He oversees the Metallic Materials & Process, Non-Destructive Evaluation, and Field Investigation groups. Weihmuller, who holds a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and MBA from Southern Methodist University, is currently responsible for a large team supporting multiple platforms for both military and commercial vertical lift programs. His career began at LTV Aerospace (later Vought Aircraft/Northrop) in 1987, primarily supporting the C-17 Airlifter program specializing in casting and forging.
His accomplishments include certifications within Six Sigma (Blackbelt), Shainin RedX, AGMA Advanced Gear Engineering Certificate, and multiple U.S. patents. While not a traditional “gear guy”, Lance has been a contributing member in the Aerospace Bloc for many years and his unique background provides added breadth to the Board.
