The GRI Aerospace Bloc research consortium held the once a year face to face meeting of it’s Steering Committee on May 31 at the Applied Research Lab on the campus of Penn State University. Representatives from Pratt & Whitney East Hartford, Pratt & Whitney Canada, UTC Aerospace Systems, CarTech, REM Surface Engineering, Boeing Philadelphia, and Bell Helicopter were in attendance with several others joining remotely. Steering Committee members were able to visit Penn State’s Field Assisted Sintering Technology (FAST) facility for a though provoking tour after the meeting concluded.
