To All Members of the Gear Research Institute

As you are aware the Gear Research Institute is managed by a twelve (12) member Board of Trustees. As per the Institute’s by-laws, there are two non-voting members from ARL Penn State (the Materials and Manufacturing Office Head and GRI Managing Director), three members to the Board are nominated by the AGMA, three by the ASME and four members are elected by the members of GRI. The board members elected by the GRI have a three year term.

At the end of 2021, a GRI member elect term is coming to an end. This seat is currently held by Colleen Tomasello of Carpenter Technology Corp. Colleen is also the current GRI Treasurer. Colleen has accepted the nomination for another three year term. Per GRI Bylaws, the nomination period must be opened to additional interested parties. If further nominations are received, an election will be held. All corporate members, individual members and sponsors can make nominations.
